White towels can be bleached. This sanitizes them, and a pure white towel even feels clean.
I would call housekeeping and have the towels replaced, if I encountered stained towels, or anything not acceptable, in a hotel room.
Every hotel I have stayed at have had wonderful towels. I bought hotel towels for our bathrooms because I loved the feel of those big, fluffy towels. You can get them at American Chair Company. Prices are excellent, and quality is unsurpassed.
Why do hotels always use white towels...?
White is commonly used because it can handle the detergents used to clean the sheets and towels. Bleach like products are very hard on the materials and then are easily low cost to replace type of color.
A few major hotels use beige or other light off white color for the same reason.
Reply:I hate hotels and motels so dont get me started on that bcause last summer they torn down my old house (rental) and I had to stay in a motel for a week or so..then I said this is enough and bought a motor home. Motels are expensive and downright uncomfortable. Too much polyesterishness.
Reply:they use white because it can be bleached for all the health reasons and stuff. and so they can wash the sheets and all the towels together. also when purchasing, white is usually cheaper. sometimes. aaannd....white doesnt fade so they dont have to keep buying new ones.
